Contrary to popular belief, having a website doesn’t have to be expensive. What if your only cost was web hosting ($5/mo), a domain such as mywebsite.com ($11/yr) and a “free webpage template download”….wait, that’s a grand total of YES, you guessed it: $16 to get started?!

As a technology consultant, I run into people all the time that think you have to invest a lot of money into a website for it to be successful, or you have to learn a lot of crazy internet languages….but that’s simply NOT true.


What makes a successful website? CONTENT. I can’t say it any clearer than that. If your content is no good, it doesn’t matter how much you’ve spent, or how nice your website looks….it just won’t draw the visitors.

I personally use godaddy.com for my web hosting and have done so for years. If you don’t know what to do with a “free web page template download”, that’s ok….godaddy has simple sites you can set up the same day you buy your hosting and domain (known as Website Tonite).
